The Daily Experience
We believe true care extends beyond medical needs. It is about the quality of every meal, the cleanliness of every room, and the joy of daily engagement.
People living in the home will be encouraged to eat in the dining room to socialise, while room service remains available when preferred. Menus can be tailored to personal tastes, cultural needs, and dietary requirements.
* Further drinks and snacks are available on request throughout the day and night.
The services of a local GP practice have been engaged, but people living in the home are more than welcome to retain the GP of their choice if he/she is willing to travel to the care home.
Personal physician retainment or local group registration options are fully supported.
The home offers a full laundry service. We ask that clothing is machine washable above 60 degrees where possible and clearly labelled before admission.
We have found that name labels which are sewn on are much better and help reduce clothing that goes astray.
We request that all clothing brought in after admission is registered on the property list. Please speak with the duty nurse.
Our Activities Coordinator provides a wide range of activities. A weekly program of activities is displayed throughout the care home.
This program has been devised after close discussions with residents. Relatives are encouraged to suggest and lead activities.
We cater to religious and spiritual needs, with local ministers visiting regularly in a multi-denominational welcoming atmosphere.
Additional Services
We coordinate access to visiting healthcare and lifestyle professionals to ensure complete well-being.
Our hairdresser visits on a fortnightly basis initially, scaling up based on the requirements of residents.
Visiting optician services are organized on a regular and as-needed basis. Additional charges may apply.
Regular dental consultations are arranged in-house. Specific treatment rates are agreed upon booking.
Daily newspapers and periodicals can be ordered and delivered directly to your room through the home manager.
A private chiropodist visits the home regularly. NHS assessments are supported for specific chronic requirements.
Standards & Policies
In the interests of maintaining the highest standards of care and safety, and in line with Regulatory requirements, we are subject to regular, independent inspections from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We also fully comply with regulations set by the Local Authority, Fire Authority, Environmental Health, and the Pharmacy Inspectorate. A copy of our latest inspection report is always available in the reception area for reference.
Our home operates an open-door visiting policy. We strongly encourage family and friends to participate in community life. To facilitate communication, we host regular relative meetings. In the interest of resident safety and building security, all visitors are requested to ring the entrance bell and sign in upon arrival and departure.
Detailed fire instructions are located near all alarm panels and elevators. We request that all visitors familiarize themselves with these protocols. Fire alarms are tested weekly with schedules clearly posted in the reception hall. In the event of an unscheduled alarm sound, please report immediately to reception and await guidance from our staff.
